Therefore, I now invite you to participate in a collective laboratory and to share your experiences about the tips I'm presenting to you.
Experiment 1: Revitalizing with lanolin
Wash your car with a conditioner containing lanolin. Apparently, lanolin will shine your car as if it had just been waxed.
Experiment 2: Newspaper
Instead of using large rolls of paper towels, newspaper can be used to wash your car windows. Simply use your favourite glass cleaner and wipe with newspaper.
Experiment 3: Panty hose
Rub your headlights with old pantyhose. It seems that they’ll make them shine.
Experiment 4: Baby wipes
Wash the inside of windows with baby wipes. It does not say whether or not you should use the fragrance-free ones.
Experiment 5: Ammonia
Use ammonia for your windshield wipers, with a mixture of one part ammonia to three parts water or ¼ - ¾.
Experiment 6: Cleansing Milk
Use cleansing milk to clean the dashboard. If it's good for the face, in principle it shouldn’t be too damaging for leather. You have to see if it really works.
Experiment 7: Baking soda
To banish the smell of old socks, sprinkle the floor and seats with baking soda. Spread the product with your hands, wait about 30 minutes and vacuum the entire area with your vacuum cleaner.
Experiment 8: Rubber glove
To get rid of dog hair, rub the seats in a circular motion with a rubber glove. Naturally, a vacuum cleaner can also do the job.
Experiment 9: Fabric softener
Use a cloth soaked in fabric softener to shine your dashboard. I bet that a very pleasant odour will remain.
Experiment 10: Toothpaste
Toothpaste to polish headlights; it doesn’t say which brand. Toothpaste isn’t too abrasive?
Experiment 11: Olive oil
Use olive oil to shine your bumper. Let it penetrate for a few minutes and wipe.
Finally, I don’t really guarantee the things mentioned above. There are some I wouldn’t even dare try on a new vehicle. However, there are some things I’ll probably try myself.
Use our page to share your experiences during your next car cleaning. I look forward to hearing from you.
