Although the exact launch date for the all-new 2016 Toyota Tacoma is not yet known, many consumers have seen it in various summer events across Canada. And this fall will mark the appearance of the Tacoma in dealer showrooms.

After 10 years without a major transformation, the 2016 edition promises many surprises for outdoor enthusiasts in particular with its new look, its off-road capability and its innovative technology.

"We welcome the aesthetic changes in the Japanese truck with open arms. Maintaining a style of its own, the new Tacoma shows its teeth, with a much more dynamic attitude," remarked automotive columnist Frédéric Mercier, at autonet.ca.
It’s the same story inside, where the dashboard is getting a makeover. The touchscreen is now standard and is connected to a reversing camera which is also installed on all versions of the new Tacoma.
Toyota even went so far as to install support for GoPro into the vehicle's windshield!" explained Mercier.

Featuring innovative technology
The new generation of Tacoma is miles ahead of the competition with technologies promoting optimal road safety and off-road driving. TRD off-road versions are equipped with a Multi-Terrain selector that allows the vehicle to better adapt to the type of situation it’s facing. And what about the Crawl Control, a slow-running system that allows the driver to relinquish acceleration and braking in difficult off-road maneuvers. This technological support allows drivers to truly enjoy their ride without always worrying about getting stuck somewhere.
"During extensive off-road testing, the Tacoma’s performance is impressive, while electronic systems manage virtually everything very efficiently and without the need for total driver control," explained Denis Duquet, automotive columnist for The Car Guide.
