Toyota's medium- and full-size pickup trucks have a really excellent reputation that lives up to the Toyota brand.

Toyota's medium- and full-size pickup trucks have a really excellent reputation that lives up to the Toyota brand. What’s more, last year was Toyota really brought it home with the unveiling of the third-generation Tacoma.

With many of its main competitors chose to remain with older generations on similar-sized trucks in this segment, Toyota had a head start in designing and engineering its new editions and as a result is way ahead of the competition.

The 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro

As mentioned earlier, the third-generation Tacoma is now available. However, a model that is gaining tremendous demand is the Tacoma TRD (Toyota Racing Development) PRO edition. Last October, Toyota introduced its full range of TRD PRO vehicles in Collingwood, Ontario. The Tacoma TRD PRO is designed for those customers who like off-road capability with all-terrain tires, underbody protective shields, off-road suspension, and many other distinctive features.

It features the Toyota - proven 278 horsepower 3.5L V6 engine. According to independent road tests, the 4WD is said to be truly impressive. For off-road fans, the rugged and proven Fox suspension can handle just about any road condition thrown its way. Finally, Toyota has not forgotten that the Tacoma TRD PRO needs to be a work truck, and it can tow up to 6,400 pounds (2,900 kilos).

The 2017 Toyota Tundra

The 2017 Toyota Tundra is a full-size pickup designed for towing. Unlike Tacoma, here the towing capacity is offered with the small V8 with a capacity of 6,790 lbs. (3,080 kg) or the large V8 with its capacity of 10,500 lbs. (4,760 kg). The Tundra comes standard with 2-wheel drive, the majority of Tundra customers prefer the proven Toyota  4X4 system. There are three different cab sizes, the 2-door regular, the 4-door double cab or the Crewmax, as well as different bed sizes.

For long-haul ownership, the Tundra and the Tacoma have excellent resale value and Toyota's well-earned reputation for reliability, durability and quality that often exceed those of the competition.
