A hybrid variation is available and comes with standard all-wheel drive.

First, for those who care about the environment, you'll be happy to know that the 2018 Toyota Highlander offers three engine choices, including a 185 hp I-4 engine with 184 lb-ft of torque, a V6 3.5-liter, 295 hp engine with 263 lb-ft, and a hybrid powertrain that combines the 3.5-liter V-6 with three electric motors, a CVT and a nickel metal hydride battery for a total output of 306 hp.

The design of the 2018 Toyota Highlander

In terms of design, the model has been polished and modernized in recent years, including a more dynamic silhouette and LED lights and headlights. Above all, it sports an ultra-practical and well-designed cabin that’s hard not to like. We appreciate the quality of the materials and attention to detail, while the front row captain's chairs provide comfort during longer trips.

For camping and fishing expedition enthusiasts, there is 13.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, 42.3 cubic feet behind the second row and up to 83.7 cubic feet behind front seats of the LE and LE Plus models. The XLE, SE and Limited versions have slightly less cargo space at 83.2 cubic feet and add even more panoramic roof capacity of to 82.6 cubic feet. Better yet, when the Highlander is fully equipped, it’ll be easy to tow your fishing boat with its 5,000-pound capacity or 3,500 pounds for the hybrid model.
