Every 2026 Toyota Tundra Trim Explained: Features, Powertrains, and Who Each One Is For

The 2026 Toyota Tundra comes in eight trim levels — from the work-ready SR to the top-tier Capstone — and two powertrain options that change how the truck performs on the highway and off it. For Quebec drivers, that range of choice means there's a Tundra for contractors who need maximum towing, families who want a comfortable long-hauler, and off-road buyers who spend weekends on trails north of Montréal.

This breakdown covers each trim, what it adds, and who it's built for — so you can walk into Île-Perrot Toyota knowing exactly where to start.

SR: The Work-Ready Base

The SR is for buyers who need a capable truck and nothing more. If you're hauling materials to job sites, pulling a work trailer, or want a reliable daily driver, the SR delivers without the added cost of features you won't use.

The SR runs a 3.4 L twin-turbo V6 producing 348 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes bi-beam LED headlamps, Toyota Multimedia with an 8-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker audio system, fabric upholstery, single-zone automatic climate control, and Toyota Safety Sense. The backup camera with Back Guide Monitor helps with trailer hookups and parking. The 122-litre fuel tank keeps range strong on long drives between Quebec regions.

The SR is the only trim available with 4x2 drivetrain, and it's offered in Double Cab with a 6.5-foot or 8.1-foot bed, or CrewMax Cab with a 5.5-foot bed (4x4 only).

SR5: More Power and Comfort

The SR5 is the sweet spot for drivers who split their time between work and family use. It steps up to the higher-output version of the 3.4 L twin-turbo V6 — 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque — and adds meaningful interior upgrades.

Compared to the SR, you get heated and power-adjustable front seats, a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, 18-inch alloy wheels, Drive Mode Select, Hill Start Assist Control, LED fog lamps, and an active front spoiler. Available in Double Cab and CrewMax Cab with 4x4.

Limited and Limited Nightshade: Premium Interior, Full Capability

The Limited is where the Tundra's interior makes a significant jump. It keeps the 389 hp / 479 lb-ft engine but adds a 14-inch touchscreen, 12-speaker JBL audio, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats with driver memory, memory mirrors, and a panoramic moonroof. Drive Connect delivers real-time traffic and weather. Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking add convenience on Quebec highways and in urban parking. A 120-volt / 400-watt bed outlet powers tools or camping equipment.

The Limited Nightshade adds blacked-out styling: TRD black 20-inch wheels and gloss black exterior accents for a more aggressive look on the same platform.

Both are available in CrewMax Cab with a 5.5-foot bed and 4x4 only. The i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain is available on both.

TRD Off Road: Built for Quebec's Backroads

The TRD Off Road is the right choice for buyers who regularly leave paved roads — gravel routes in Laurentides, forest trails, or snowy paths to the chalet. It shares the SR5/Limited engine output (389 hp / 479 lb-ft on gasoline) but reengineers the suspension and drivetrain for rough terrain.

Standard off-road equipment includes TRD off-road shocks, a rear locking differential, crawl control, multi-terrain select, downhill assist, a multi-terrain monitor, and 20-inch matte black wheels. The i-FORCE MAX hybrid (437 hp / 583 lb-ft) is available if you want maximum torque off the line on technical terrain.

Available in CrewMax Cab, 4x4 only.

TRD Pro: Maximum Off-Road Capability

The TRD Pro is the most capable off-road Tundra in the lineup. It adds a 28 mm (1.1-inch) front suspension lift, 63 mm (2.5-inch) FOX internal bypass coil-overs, and remote-reservoir rear shocks over the TRD Off Road's already capable setup. Other exclusive equipment includes 18-inch forged BBS wheels, skid plates, rock rails, a heritage TOYOTA grille with integrated LED light bar, and smoked headlamps.

For 2026, the TRD Pro is available in exclusive Wave Maker blue. It comes exclusively in CrewMax Cab with a regular bed and i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain (437 hp / 583 lb-ft).

Platinum: Long-Haul Comfort

The Platinum is for buyers who want a truck that matches a premium SUV in daily comfort. It builds on the Limited's foundation with upgraded leather upholstery, power-adjustable front massage seats with heating and ventilation, and heated and ventilated rear seats.

The optional Advanced Package adds load-levelling air suspension, adaptive variable suspension, a five-setting drive mode, and power extendable towing mirrors — particularly useful when towing regularly. Available in CrewMax Cab with 4x4, with i-FORCE MAX hybrid option.

1794: Platinum Features, Distinct Character

The 1794 shares the Platinum's feature content but has a look of its own: grade-specific 20-inch wheels, authentic wood interior trim, and chrome exterior accents. The name references the founding year of the Texas ranch where Toyota's plant now operates. Available with Advanced Package and i-FORCE MAX hybrid in CrewMax.

Capstone: Top of the Lineup

The Capstone combines all Platinum and 1794 features with additional premium interior details. It's available exclusively in CrewMax with a regular bed and i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain (437 hp / 583 lb-ft).

Gasoline vs. i-FORCE MAX Hybrid

The 3.4 L twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine produces 389 hp and 479 lb-ft (348 hp / 405 lb-ft in SR trim) and tows up to 5,045 kg (11,120 lb) — the higher towing rating of the two powertrains.

The i-FORCE MAX hybrid adds an electric motor to the same V6, producing 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque with 500 lb-ft available from a standing start. It tows up to 5,067 kg (11,175 lb) and returns 11.7 L/100 km combined, compared to 12.2–12.4 L/100 km for 4x4 gasoline models.
