Automotive Technician

Responsibilities:

• Depending on his or her experience and specialties, the mechanic will perform various maintenance and repair work on vehicles
• Observe the operation of engines in operation, test the vehicles on the road
• Identify the causes of defects or malfunctions and verify diagnoses
• Repair or replace defective components or parts using hand or power tools
• Test and adjust components to specifications to ensure proper operation
• Complete reports to record defects and work performed

Requirements:

• Professional experience in automotive mechanics
• Competency card from the parity committee (CPA)
• Valid Quebec driver's license
• Concern for work well done and good sense of observation
• Tool box
• Good physical condition
• DEP in automotive mechanics (an asset)
